1. System composition and function

The hardware of BMS battery management system is mainly composed of BMU (battery module management unit), BCMS (battery cluster management unit), BMSC (battery management controller), HMI local monitoring unit and DMU (DC detection unit). BMS adopts tree management. mode, and supports the management and scheduling of the host computer master station software such as EMS/SCADA. The main functions of each part are as follows:

1. The first-level management unit is the BMU (battery module management unit), which is responsible for collecting and managing the voltage, current, and temperature information of the single cell and uploading it to the BCMS, and manages the single cells in the module to achieve single cell balance. Features.

2. The second-level management unit is the BCMS (battery cluster management unit), which is responsible for collecting the voltage, current, temperature and other information of the battery modules in the cluster, packaging and uploading it to the BMSC, and managing the battery modules in the cluster to achieve the balance function within the cluster.

3. The third-level management unit is the BMSC (battery stack management controller), which is responsible for collecting the voltage, current, temperature and other information of all cells in the stack, analyzing the data, making control and protection strategies and external communication, and managing all the stacks. Internal battery, save the historical data of system operation, draw real-time or historical data curves such as power, voltage, current, power generation, battery information, etc. of system operation.

4. The auxiliary management unit DMU (DC detection unit) is responsible for collecting the DC voltage and current of each cluster, detecting the insulation state of the DC bus, and uploading the data to the BCMS.

5. The human-machine interface HMI is responsible for locally displaying and querying the operating status of battery stacks, clusters, and modules, as well as single battery information and alarm information. It can set protection thresholds, communication parameters, etc., and can perform debugging related functions, such as self-test and Calibration.
